Delivered on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, the new Mill Court Care Home is Acheson’s 7th contract for this repeat client.
Located at Christmas Hill in Shalford, Guildford, the project comprised the demolition of the existing building followed by the construction of a new three-storey 60 bed care home.
Services provided include; 24-hour support and nursing care for elderly and frail residents as well as those in need of memory care. The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and meets a full range of needs and services for residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and end of life care.
The home provides comfortable day and dining facilities, welcoming and well-kept communal spaces and other functional accommodation to meet a full range of resident needs.
External works include; formation of new site entrance, staff and visitor parking, foul and storm water drainage, hard landscaping including site features and furniture, cycle store, bin store, scooter store, boundary treatments, soft landscaping, and all incoming installations.
Mill Court is a short drive away from neighbouring Silverbirch House Care Home in Worplesdon that Acheson completed in 2023 and provides another vital care facility for the local community.
