Acheson sponsors Pharaoh King of Egypt exhibition

Acheson Construction Ltd and Humphries Kirk Solicitors have pooled their resources to support the director of the Dorset County Museum, Dr. Jon Murden and his team in putting on the Pharoah: King of Egypt Exhibition.

The exhibition which is part of the British Museum’s traveling collection is something of coup for Dorchester’s small museum. Jon Murden said, “We have been very fortunate that the British Museum have liked the work that we have done recently and have placed a great deal of faith in us in being able to put on a great show for not only Dorset but the surrounding counties. This collection is rarely seen outside the major cities so we are very pleased to have it here”.

The exhibition includes over 130 amazing objects, many of which have never been seen outside of London; from a giant royal tomb guardian from the Valley of the Kings, to the intricate Atum gold plaque.

Some of the oldest objects are over 3,500 years old. A whole programme of ancient Egyptian themed events will also be taking place over the autumn and winter.

Recently Acheson and Humphries kirk entertained 80 guests at a private viewing party at the Museum.
