Millbrook near completion
Works are near completion on a multi-purpose unit, comprising a large spacious floor area and a light structured mezzanine floor at Millbrook Trading Estate, Southampton. Along with the larger unit are 6 smaller light industrial units with open plan floor areas and generous office space. New off road parking spaces will provide occupants with a secure means of access and to promote more sustainable travel, a cycle store has been constructed.
Following the demolition works, extensive ground improvements were required due to the site being close to the docks on what was previously a beach. Extensive flood prevention and storm drainage measures were put into place. These works were carried out by Vibro Menard who used innovative techniques to deliver a solution that was less expensive than deep pile foundations.
The project is due for completion in late June 2018.
