Much-needed sports facility for local community
A much-needed multi-use sports facility for the local community is the next exciting project for our Chandlers Ford Office.
The Sports Pavilion at Hiltingbury was originally constructed circa 1950 and was subsequently refurbished in 2008 but essentially it is the same tired old building, no longer fit for purpose and an eyesore.
Acheson Construction have been awarded the contract by Chandlers Ford Parish Council to partially demolish, refurb and extend this community facility
The original building with its differencing levels and limited space created access issues for disabled people. The new design will overcome these obstacles by providing a larger, more welcoming entrance area together with a new platform lift and a lift to the first floor.
The new pavilion will provide an enclosed sports hall with provision for four indoor badminton courts, fitness studio, entrance hall & changing facilities.
