Work starts at Dorset Green Technology Park, Winfrith

Work has commenced at Dorset Green Technology Park, Winfrith on a £2.5m project to construct 20 new industrial starter units.  Acheson were pleased to be awarded the contract for Purbeck District Council in partnership with Dorset County Council following the purchase of 6 hectares of development land from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The commencement of the starter units coincided with the news that Acheson had been awarded the contract to build Atlas Elektronik's new production facility on the site which is due to start in April.  Atlas Elektronik is a leading provider of science and technology solutions to the UK Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy, other defence departments and corporate customers internationally.

Acheson's Managing Director, Marcus Drysdale said, "It is great to be involved in the development of local manufacturing and industrial production space which will have a significant positive impact on growth and employment opportunities for the local community and across Dorset."
