Poole Grammar School Sports Hall

Acheson are proud to have delivered the new sports facility at this all-boys Grammar School in Poole.

Sport is a key subject at Poole Grammar with a large proportion of the site allocated to playing fields that are used for football, rugby, cricket and athletics.

There are also additional outdoor sports facilities that include an all-weather sports pitch and hard surface courts for 5-a-side football, tennis and basketball.

The school’s two original indoor sports halls were not large enough to cater for the P.E curriculum and so a plan to develop the site was created.

This important contract involved the replacement of the existing ‘double gymnasium’ with a steel framed, fully accessible, double height sports hall covering a total GIFA of 2110m2.

Changing facilities, a fitness studio and classrooms have been included in this two storey building, which will allow the School to continue its delivery of quality sports subjects offering a fantastic new campus facility for students and the local community for many years to come.

This is the 3rd project Acheson have delivered with Ball Hall Project Management following successful completions at Beaminster and Parkstone Grammar Schools.

A key handover was held on the day of PC and a larger scale grand opening will take place later this year.
