Doctors Surgery, Corfe Castle, Dorset

This purpose designed new Doctor's Surgery was constructed using traditional local Purbeck stone.  The building houses 3 Consulting Rooms, a Nurse Practitioner's Room and Treatment Room alongside a Dispensary, Waiting Area and associated administration and support areas.  The traditional construction included piled foundations which were undertaken sensitively due to the proximity of neighbouring buildings.

Acheson have built a number of medical facilities including Poundbury Medical Centre, Dorchester and the Portland Community Hospital Minor Treatment Unit.

Following the successful completion of this project, Acheson was awarded two negotiated contracts to create a purpose-built Pathology Laboratory in Taunton and a further Pathology Unit within Musgrove Hospital, Taunton.
