This prestigious, forty-two bed care home is built over four floors with an abundance of communal space, giving it the atmosphere of a luxury hotel. It also has many additional resident's resources to support Yaffle Care's new concepts in elderly care.
Situated in its own wooded grounds and in a quiet location, the development is a high quality, traditional build on a turnkey specification and was completed within the allotted eighteen-month schedule.
Challenges presented by the project, such as the topography of the site, and the need to construct large retaining walls in the basement area, were effectively dealt with during both the design and build phases.
Yaffle Care's advanced concepts in the care of the elderly, including those with dementia are based on the delivery of varying levels of nursing care with the added benefit of a personalised choice of activities that aim to stimulate and create enjoyment.
All bedrooms are attractively furnished with facilities such as en-suite wet rooms, televisions with internet access, electric profiling beds and ceiling hoists to assist with the safe and comfortable movement of less mobile residents. Throughout the home, other communal facilities have been made available and range from hydrotherapy and aromatherapy facilities to a residents' kitchen, a 1920's style theatre and a Railway Tavern themed bar.
