Acheson Construction have delivered the new Stoneham Grove Care Home in Tilehurst, Reading.
This project for repeat client Barchester Healthcare involved the design and construction of a new two-storey, 64-bed care home.
Each floor offers a central communal lounge and dining room for the residents to relax, socialise and enjoy. Other facilities include a hair salon, cinema, activity lounge, private dining area and family room.
Externally, the home has beautifully paved and landscaped garden areas providing a peaceful and tranquil outdoor space for residents, staff and visitors to explore.
Stoneham Place meets the required CQC standards as well as the demand for high-quality care in the area.
During Construction, the site was awarded a Silver certificate by the Considerate Constructors Scheme following an assessor score of 45/45 and gained an additional point for innovation taking our total to 46.
This was an excellent achievement and demonstrates Acheson’s commitment to adhering to the highest standards of the schemes code of practice by respecting the community, caring for the environment and valuing our workforce.
