Acheson set to deliver new production facility for AEUK
Acheson has received instructions from Atlas Elektronik UK Ltd for the design and construction of a new £2.8m production facility and support accommodation at their headquarters site in Winfrith. The news came on the back of the award of 20 new business starter units at Winfrith's new Dorset Green Technology Park, a development by Purbeck District Council in partnership with Dorset County Council.
AEUK are a leading provider of science and technology solutions to the UK Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy and to other defence departments and corporate customers internationally. Based at Winfrith, AEUK has a long history of innovation and invention at the site which is already a centre of excellence for science, advanced engineering and innovative technologies. The development of this circa 25,000 square feet production facility will secure a range of employment opportunities for local people.
