Dorset County Museum gets a Royal visit
We were delighted to welcome Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester to our Dorset County Museum project recently. The Duke was given a tour of the site by Museum Director Jon Murden and Acheson Director Colin Johnson. The works for this exciting project involve the demolition of the adjoining building and construction of a new extension. Extensive alterations to the existing building are also included and will create a new museum, exhibition space and learning centre along with new galleries, collections store, library, café and shop.
